I used to take my car here until they stole a bunch of ones out of my car. When i realized this and drove back to alert the manager he questioned each employee that i saw work on my care in front of me (which of course no one is going to 'fess up to that on the spot) and then flatly denied that anyone stole anything. Well, i guess I'm a liar then (?). Bottom line it was only a few bucks, but at least have the common courtesy to acknowledge my claim. Best of luck HC!

This place used to be the best until they changed owners. I used to take my 3 BMW's here every Saturday that is until they crashed another car into the back of my BMW Z3 Roadster, told me they were going to fix it then when it was time to do it they said they didnt do it. Luckily my attorney and the threat of going to small claims scared the new owner into realizing their liability and fixing the car. Although instead of handling it like a professional business owner and having a certified shop make the repairs he had me drop off my car there and he hired some fool who didnt know what he was doing and had him fix the car right on site. Only reason why I didnt push the issue was because I was selling the car and they did a good enough job for it to never be noticeable yet I wouldnt call the job porfessional. Plus they keep raising the prices and what is with the xtra dollar they charge me just because I bring in a BMW X5. They classify that as X-Tra large yet my BMW 7 series they classify that as normal size. If you ask me all they do is nickel and dime. Over 30 dollars for the C package wash which is supposed to include everything and you need to charge me an x-tra 1 dollar plus 5 dollars for rain-x give me a break

This place used to be on the "Best of San Mateo" list 10 years running and it was definitely worth it. The owners were really nice and the price was right. Then they sold the business.
Yes, the new owner kept the hardworking guys, but he took away the low prices and the AAA discount. Plus, the quality of the washing/drying has gone down. I went in for a wash after my car was attacked by birds, and there were a number of areas on the hood that needed more attention.
They still have the coupons, but since the basic wash is $12.99, I'd rather go to Ducky's for a more thorough wash.
Oh, and the new owner is an ass. He asked one of his more elderly patrons if she needed a boost to get one of the air freshners on the top rung. His tone was not genuine. It was more "ha ha, you can't reach it. why don't i help you little lady before you hurt yourself."
I have a couple more washes to go before I get my free one and after that's done, I'm going to Ducky's.
I decided to go here today instead of trekking down to Ducky's. Figured I'd save myself the trip. I was pretty happy with the quality of the wash. My car came out much shinier than it typically does from a Ducky's wash. Prices were comparable. I think I paid about $17 for wash, vacuum and wheel brite.
This is the best car wash that I've been to between San Francisco and San Jose. They do a very thorough and meticulous job cleaning your car inside and out. They spend so much time on your car. Sometimes up to 30 minutes detailing the wheels, cleaning the interior and rubbing off tar and bird poo. They will do some nice extra touch-up if you put a couple bucks in their hands too. The best part is they have windows so you can watch as your car moves through each step in the washing assemblyline. I love the polish stage where all the green and pink foam spews out on your car to the lovely sounds of tweeting birds. I'm easily amused.

They chipped the rim on my Tahoe and when I asked them about the damage they denied it. I think they scraped it on the railing when they drove it into the wash, I'm sure it happened in the car wash. I check my car over before leaving these places. I was suprized that they don't have a nicer way to deal with this then to just deny it.

I've been here twice and they do a great job. I brought my SO's car here after it'd been trashed by his brother, who smokes!
This place gives new definition to the word detail: there was sticky goo in the cup holders but I forgot to open the flip down lid before handing over the car. I didn't remember until I got back in the car and saw that they had opened the cup holder lid and cleaned out the goo even freeing the penny that had been stuck to the bottom - nasty!
Does that make sense? It's a Honda Accord, you know the middle cup holders with the cover?
Anyway, thank you Hillsdale Car Wash!
Oh, they have a bonus ticket: collect 10, get one wash free
I'm giving four stars instead of 5 because they left some stubborn acorn stains.
Ok, first problem is that when you drive up they have 3 choices for a carwash and the lowest if $18.99, I asked if this was the absolute lowest and then they offered $14.99 which is not posted anywhere. I think $15.00 + $3.00 for a tip is high considering that they spent (I counted) less than 30 seconds vacuuming my car and then they didnt even remove the mats to clean underneath. The rims were left dirty and the back window were not cleaned. I told the Manager I thought the prices were a bit high and he honestly didnt care. I Major rip off, I WONT BE BACK. Its too bad because I work down the street and get my car washed each week.

Decent job done with extra shampoos and wax with safeway coupons (but I didn't have the coupon and the old man was very strict abt the second wax, that he doesn't do without the coupon. Paid extra to a guy who cleans the wheels and doors, he will do some great work inside and out for that $5 bucks. Together, you pay $24.99
